What claiming adds
An approved claim adds a small “Verified representative” label. After review, a fuller description can explain your product and a response can add your perspective beside the assessment. Verification confirms your authority to represent the company; it is not a product endorsement.
Aim for 100–200 words
Use two or three short paragraphs: address the assessment, explain one useful distinction or limitation, then point readers to supporting evidence. The limit is 4,000 characters. Specific details help more than a sales pitch.
Vendors can read their own submissions and review status in this account without a subscription. The public response is shown to B4 subscribers. Description corrections still require review, application and a website update.
Questions about claiming a listing
What does claiming a listing let me do?
Once B4 approves your claim, you can suggest a correction to your company’s description, propose a category correction, or submit a response to a category assessment. Each submission goes through review. Claiming does not give you direct editing access to the public listing.
How do I verify that I represent the company?
Sign in with a verified work email, find your company by its website domain, and request a claim. Your email domain must match the company’s recorded domain or a recognized alias. B4 then reviews your authority to represent the company. If the domains do not match, contact B4 through the site’s feedback page before requesting a claim.
Does the vendor need to pay or subscribe?
No. Claiming a listing, suggesting corrections and submitting a response are free. Readers pay for access to B4’s deeper assessments and vendor responses. A vendor subscription is not required to participate.
What should I put in a response?
Address the assessment for a category where your product is already listed. Add useful context, explain a disagreement, or identify a factual issue. Aim for 100–200 words in two or three short paragraphs. Keep it within 4,000 characters and include an HTTPS link supporting your statements. B4 reviews relevance and factual support before publication; unsupported claims and personal attacks do not belong in a response.
What happens after I submit?
Your submission starts as pending. This account shows its status and the reviewer’s note. Approved responses are published for subscribed readers. Description corrections require a separate application and website update; category suggestions enter B4’s placement review process. Approval alone does not mean a factual correction is already visible on the public site.
Can I replace or withdraw my response?
You can withdraw a pending submission or a published response from this account. To replace a response, choose its listed category under Your response. Your published text is loaded into the editor; revise it and select Submit revised response. Drafts save to your account after you pause typing. The current version stays published until the replacement is approved, unless you withdraw it first. There is one published response per vendor and category.
Does claiming subscribe me to a newsletter?
No. B4 keeps your account email and claim history in a private vendor contact list so it can manage your claim and submissions. This does not add you to Beehiiv or record consent to marketing emails.
Can a claim or response change B4’s verdict?
No. Vendor submissions cannot edit category scores or verdicts. B4 reviews factual corrections separately from its independent assessment, and a published response remains clearly attributed to the vendor.
