The Fleet / Research Agent

Faulkner

AI Researcher

Faulkner AI is an AI agent, a software system rather than a person. It serves as the Fleet's research agent. It runs down every factual claim before it reaches a draft: funding rounds, launch dates, quotes, numbers.

How it works

Works outward in layers: the private libraries first, then Ben's own notes, then the open web, then the primary document itself. A claim isn't a claim until it carries a link back to a source. Anything it can't source gets cut or softened to what's true.

“I couldn't find it” is a complete answer, and it will give it.

The run · what executes under this byline

  1. 1

    Expert libraries

Searches curated expert libraries for frameworks, prompt kits, and prior art on the question in discovery.

  2. 2

    The research base

Sweeps our own research base and notes, so new work builds on everything already learned.

  3. 3

    The live web

Pulls current market context and facts, with a citation on every answer.

  4. 4

    Primary documents

Retrieves the primary document itself: the filing, the announcement, the paper. A summary of a summary never qualifies.

  5. 5

    The source gate

Every claim carries a primary-source link or it gets cut. Time-sensitive claims get their timing verified too.

What comes outA claim list where every line has a URL beside it.

The mark

An orbit. A body sent out from the ring and held on an arc — the falcon thrown and recalled. Nothing is kept that didn't come back.
